For this double bar mitzvah, an Olympic ring logo was customized to display each boy‘s initials.
To create an authentic Olympic village look, artificial evergreens, pinecones, faux snow, icicles, and rustic event signs lined the hallway leading toward the main ballroom.
As guests entered the party, they stopped at the "Olympic Registration" desk to pick up their "Olympic Passes," which directed them to their seats.
Two attendants dressed as Olympian athletes handed out the escort cards. Each of the "passes" was designed to represent a different winter sport.
The bar mitzvah boys‘ love for snowboarding inspired the design of this customized banner that hung in the "Olympic Village" entrance above the guest book.
Guests left special messages for the bar mitzvah boys on two sign-in boards made from parts of real snowboards.
Lucite chiavari chairs tied with white bengaline cushions surrounded each table, while turquoise blue banners representing different winter Olympic events hung above.
Each table was topped with an alternating arrangement of white candles and white flowers in assorted vases. For a splash of color, turquoise napkins hung over the edge of each place setting.
Vinyl Olympic rings and the boy‘s initials were imprinted on the dance floor.
White drapery with a backlit blue light covered the entire room from floor to ceiling for an icy effect.
A lounge area imitating an upscale lodge was created for the kids using custom white couches, fur rugs, and three faux fire pits with silver, sparkling flames.
An Olympic ring ice sculpture was displayed behind the bar. For another personal touch to the cocktail hour, a signature drink was served -- mock apple martinis.
An authentic-looking mailbox was rented for guests to drop off their gifts for the two "Olympians."
The boys had an Olympic medal awards ceremony (complete with a flame and torch lighting), where they called up guests of honor to receive a gold medal.
In addition to a rockin‘ DJ, the boys had entertainers like this juggling act.
For dessert, guests munched on yummy cupcakes with their choice of piping hot cocoa or coffee.
As guests left the party, they found themselves in an Olympic Village Souvenir Shop where each guest was gifted a prepackaged backpack customized with the party’s Olympic ring logo.
